Multicultural Heritage Centre

5411- 51 Street, Stony Plain   T7Z 1B8

The Multicultural Heritage Centre has been preserving and promoting the history of Stony Plain and the tri-community area for over thirty years. Much more than a museum, the Centre presents local history and agricultural heritage through interpretive displays, award winning school programs and an organic rated Demonstration Farm.

The Multicultural Heritage Centre is governed by the Heritage Agricultural Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the regional cultural heritage.

The Centre has a long history in offering quality School Programs to classes from Kindergarten to Grade 12. These programs encompass a wide variety of subjects from pioneer heritage, multiculturalism, agricultural, nature, farm and farm safety.

All programs are matched to Alberta Education’s curriculum. We take pride in being sensitive to changes in provincial curricula and adapt and create programs as required.

The Homesteader’s Kitchen is a quaint little restaurant on the lower level of the Old Brick School. It is known for fresh bread, homemade soup, and our many varieties of pies made daily by our dedicated staff. The menu features fantastic salads from Greek chicken to Mexican and changes seasonally. They are famous for their delicious home-made pies!
